Rising up at the eastern tip of the Yakima Valley, Red Mountain’s 4,000 acres stretched between Benton City and Richland. Established as an AVA in 2001, Red Mountain has built an impressive reputation for grapes that become powerful red wines. Its 1,000 vineyard acres are planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah along with small plots of Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Malbec.
